Members of a youth theatre travelled to Stanwick Lakes to take part in a fun filled weekend of workshops and performances.

The four teenagers from The Orchard Theatre Youth Group- Mia Hutton, 14, Jay Raveendran, 13, Abbie Greenhill, 13 and Dylan South, 14, made the journey to Northamptonshire for the WhatAbout Festival, which youth theatres from across the UK participated in over the weekend of July 5 and 6.

Youth Theatre Director, Sarah Chiswell-Hornett, said: “The festival was a wonderful experience for our youth theatre members, they made lots of new friends from across the country and developed new skills in exciting youth theatre activity. The challenge of pitching tents, cooking and camping saw confidence blossom and OYT danced the night away in the amphitheatre. Highlights included watching shows, cooking marshmallows and taking part in fantastic workshops led by professional companies and artists.”
