Steve Brown has made his first new signing as Ebbsfleet United manager with Daryl McMahon following him from Dover Athletic.

The midfielder made 28 appearances for the team which finished third in the Conference South next season.

McMahon began his career as a trainee at West Ham United before playing for Port Vale, Leyton Orient and Notts County in the Football League.

The 29-year-old then dropped into non-league with spells at Stevenage, Cambridge, Farnborough, Boreham Wood and Eastleigh before joining Dover last summer.

Brown left his role as assistant manager at Dover at the end of last season.

It is thought he will not be the last player to make the same journey across Kent this summer.
