Domestic abuse one stop shop opens in Swanley

A one stop shop for domestic abuse victims will open on a weekly basis from January 9 in Swanley.

It will take place from 9.30am to 11am at Swanley Children’s Centre (Sure Start), in Northview, and will offer a range of advice and support under one roof.

Victims will have access to representatives from Women’s Aid, Sevenoaks District Council, Kent Fire and Rescue, Kent police, housing associations and solicitors.

Anybody can drop in as no appointments are necessary. The advice is free and available to anyone in need.

Sevenoaks Cllr Elaine Bracken, said: “This is a vital support service offering practical advice as well as emotional support from compassionate professionals. I would urge residents to seek support from this weekly one stop shop if they have any issues relating to domestic abuse.”

For information email or call 01732 227000 and ask for the community safety team.
