FOOTBALL fans may have vital information about a man who was arrested after driving recklessly and crashing several times.

Police are appealing for information after the driver of a silver Vauxhall Astra, first crashed in Winston Close, Greenhithe on Saturday, March 20.

He drove off without stopping, almost colliding with another car on London Road before heading to Northfleet and mounting the roundabout before turning into St Clements Way, near Bluewater.

The car was then driven along St Clements Way where it hit another car and bumped the kerbs, before going onto Watling Street where police caused the driver to stop.

A police spokesperson said: "It was the same day Ebbsfleet United played Luton Town so many people will have been passing through this area."

A 59-year-old man was detained at the scene, arrested and has been released on bail.

Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the car, registration plate Y863 AGK, in the area at 4.30pm.
