A car dealer with almost 30 years experience has been singled out for outstanding achievement by multinational manufacturers Honda.

A car dealer with almost 30 years experience has been singled out for outstanding achievement by multinational manufacturers Honda.

Ian Gay, 44, of Parrock Road, Gravesend, began helping at his dad Colin’s business G&M Motors, Milton Road aged nine, joined full-time straight out of school, and has never looked back.

He said: “It’s great as there can’t be many 40-year-olds who can say they’ve never had a job interview in their life.”

Mr Gay junior was singled out for the outstanding long service at the Honda UK Annual Dealer Conference. He is also acting as chairman of Gravesend Spartans Football Club.The Spartans, who play in Kings Farm.
