A drug dealer has been jailed after he was caught carrying 21 wraps of crack cocaine in Gravesend.
Officers stopped 21-year-old Ronnie Hughes in Roseberry Court when he was spotted acting suspiciously in August this year.
He was taken to a police station, where police discovered the stash of Class-A drugs.
Hughes, of Steele Avenue in Greenhithe, also had texts on his phone mentioning the supply of drugs.
He later pleaded guilty to possessing Class-A drugs with intent to supply and was jailed for three years and four months on September 7.
DC Michael Champion said: “Hughes is the latest drug dealer to receive a jail sentence for offences in the Gravesend area.
“We’re confident his arrest will help disrupt the flow of Class As into the town, and assure other offenders that we are actively pursuing these crimes.
“Dealers make a dishonest profit by exploiting some of the most vulnerable people in society.
“If you witness drug dealing please don’t hesitate to contact us on 101, or if the incident is ongoing 999.”
