Steve Brown has strengthened his Ebbsfleet United squad with a double signing.

Former Charlton defender Osei Sankofa, who most recently played for Hayes and Yeading in the Conference South, has put pen to paper and striker Michael Thalassitis has joined from Stevenage on a season-long loan.

Sankofa represented England at every level from under-16 to under-20 and made 14 Premier League appearance for the Addicks.

The 28-year-old said: “I am very pleased to be joining Ebbsfleet United at this exciting time. Looking at the players signed already I am sure the style of football that we will play will be both exciting and attractive.”

Thalassitis, 20, has been sent out on loan by Stevenage to a number of teams including Boreham Wood, Cambridge United and Bishop’s Stortford.

He said: “I am really pleased to have been given the opportunity to play for Ebbsfleet United this coming season. Stevenage have been very generous in allowing me to have this season-long loan, which means I can really settle down and become a full-time member of the squad.”

The fixtures for the 2013/14 season will be released today, stay tuned for more news. How would you like Ebbsfleet to play on the opening day?
