Edinburgh House withdraw from appeal

Housing developers Edinburgh House has withdrawn its appeal against an application to completely redevelop Gravesend Heritage Quarter.
A spokesman for the company confirmed they were still interested in working in the area but has decided to pull out of the appeal process, which was due to be heard on September 6.
The controversial £120 million proposal, including building homes, shops, offices and a hotel was narrowly rejected by Gravesham Borough Council last September.
Edinburgh House now plan to re-enter negotiations with the council to put together a new proposal.
