Eight charges after stop check in Dartford

Eight charges have been made against two men following a proactive stop check by officers in Dartford.

At around 8.50pm on Friday October 26, officers travelling in an unmarked patrol car became suspicious of a vehicle travelling in Park Road and followed it into Mead Road, where it stopped.

When the vehicle stopped, the officers approached it and arrested three people on suspicion of burglary and theft.

Following enquiries in custody, Jordon Holt, 20, of Forge Lane in Gillingham, has been charged with three counts of burglary and three counts theft.

The offences are reported to have taken place in the Dartford and Bexley areas between September 23 and October 21.

He has also been charged with being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug and has been remanded in custody to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday October 29.

Charlie Bevan, 19 and of no fixed address, has been charged with the same drug supply.

He has also been remanded in custody to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday October 29.

A 23-year-old man from Dartford was also arrested in connection with the offence and he has been released pending further enquiries
