EMERGENCY services were called to the A2 in Northfleet on Tuesday lunchtime after a lorry overturned in high winds.

Police, fire and ambulance crews rushed to the coastbound carriageway, near the Pepper Hill turn-off, just before 1.30pm.

Luckily the driver, who was out of the cab before fire crews arrived, escaped with only a minor neck injury and grazes and did not need to go to hospital.

A roadside breath test was negative.
