A distressed family are appealing for help after their dog Dexi, a three-year-old Belgian Malinois, was stolen from their stables at Drudgeon Farm in School Lane, Bean.

Dexi went missing sometime between 1pm on Friday (13) and 8am on Saturday morning. She had been attached by a lead to the stables which were unlocked.

Owner George Sawyer said his family were extremely upset by the theft: “She is a family pet and my grandchildren who play with her are all very upset. There is a public footpath behind the stables so someone has walked down there and taken her.”

Dexi is wearing a black collar and is micro-chipped.

Anyone with information relating to the theft or the whereabouts of Dexi is asked to contact PC Tony QUILTER on 101 quoting crime reference XY/021224/12.
