The Fiddler on the Roof - one of the most popular musicals ever - is set to come to Dartford’s Orchard Theatre on Tuesday.

Paul Michael Glaser, who starred in 1970s television series Starsky and Hutch, will play the lead role of Tevye in a production of The Fiddler on the Roof.

Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood has directed and choreographed this new production – which is described as capturing “all the emotions”.

John Stalker, the production’s executive producer, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Paul Michael Glaser to the iconic and starring role of Tevye in The Fiddler on the Roof.

“It is a part he has longed to play for years and that he has chosen to realise his dream in this new production from Craig Revel Horwood is both humbling and tremendously exciting.”

The show will be at The Orchard Theatre between Tuesday, and Saturday.

Tickets cost between £20 and £37 plus a £1.50 booking fee for each ticket.
