A three-quarter acre playing field has gone under the auctioneer’s hammer for £36,000.

The freehold site, at London Road, Northfleet, previously used by Rosherville Primary School, was sold through Clive Emson Auctioneers on Wednesday.

Elsewhere, an industrial unit held on a ground lease by Gravesham council went for £100,000. The vacant 5,000 sq ft (464 sq m) building - Mark David House – is in Norfolk Road, Gravesend.

A freehold vacant piece of land next to Northfleet Water Supply Works at Downs Road, Istead Rise, sold for £18,000 - a third more than the guide price.

The lots were among 97 in Kent and London handled by the auctioneers at the Ramada Hotel in Maidstone, with the next auction taking place there from 11am on December 15.
