Three fire crews battled the blaze in Creek Hall Road


A “large quantity of paper residue” was destroyed when a machine in a Northfleet paper factory caught fire yesterday.

Three fire engines from Kent Fire and Rescue were sent to tackle the blaze, which took hold on the mill’s fourth floor in Creek Hall Road at about 4.40pm.

They were on the scene until 7.45pm.
