Three fire crews were called out last night to tackle a grass and heathland blaze in Swanscombe.

The fire, in Manor Way, took hold at about 6.55pm, and was under control by 7.40pm.

Firefighters from Kent Fire and Rescue used a hosereel and beaters to tackle the flames, which affected an area of about 200x50metres.
