Firefighters from Swanscombe and Dartford took part

Fire crews from north Kent tested their skills to the limit last week as they dealt with a horrific simulated crash.

Crews from Swanscombe and Dartford worked on an exercise involving multiple casualties on a double decker bus that had become wedged under a bridge.

They had to free four passengers who were trapped after the crash, which killed one person and seriously injured three others.

Around 20 firefighters from the two stations took part.
