Three fire crews tackled a flat fire in the early hours of Easter Sunday in Gravesend.

One resident suffering from the effects of smoke inhalation was led to safety by fire crews in breathing apparatus.

The cause is still unknown for the fire at Lancaster Court in York Road.

Crews fought the blaze from 1.40am with hose reel jets and a main jet.

They carried out a search of first and second floor flats - every resident was later accounted for.
