Fire injured and police car damaged in Gravesend crash

A police car was damaged trying to stop a silver Peugeot which then crashed into two parked vehicles, injuring the five men inside.

The car, which had been travelling from Rochester Road, was seen driving erratically at around 1am on Sunday (14).

When pursued by officers in Old Road East, Gravesend, the vehicle failed to stop and collided with a Vauxhall Corsa and a Toyota Prius before hitting a wall.

The 18-year-old driver was taken to a London hospital with serious injuries but is now in a stable condition.

The four passengers were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
