Five-vehicle crash on A2 cripples Dartford and Gravesend roads

Massive tailbacks on both sides of the A2 were caused after a five vehicle crash near Gravesend last night.

The pile-up, at around 5.15pm on Wednesday saw police, fire, highways and both land and air ambulance crews attend.

Police were forced to close the A2 coastbound completely with traffic diverted onto the M25

Several miles of tailbacks were reported after the crash on the coastbound carriageway.
