A drug dealer has been jailed for five years after being caught with more than £1,000 worth of heroin, cocaine and cannabis

Seun Daramola, 25, was found with the drugs in Kitchener Avenue, Gravesend, in January last year.

Daramola, from Clapton, London, was charged with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, at Maidstone Crown Court last Thursday.

He was caught after driving slowly past a uniformed police officer, who then conducted a stop-check of the vehicle after becoming suspicious.

Daramola told police he was on the way to Bluewater Shopping Centre to buy presents for his girlfriend.

Wraps containing the drugs were found in the car and DNA found on them proved the drugs to be his.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Adam Denny said: "This investigation was led by the drugs intervention team at north Kent.

"We are very happy with this sentence. Heroin and cocaine destroy our community and this sends out a strong signal to criminals who benefit from the misery of others.

"Any drug dealers thinking of working in north Kent should be aware of the ongoing proactive work being carried out by the police.
