A flat fire broke out in Gravesend on Friday night, which six fire engines and 35 firefighters attended.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service dealt with the fire on the third floor of the nine storey Gravesham Court in Clarence Row.

Due to the height of the building, a full response for a building of six storeys or more was mobilised to the incident.

All occupants were located and there were no reported injuries.

The cause of the fire isn’t known at this stage.

Crews used breathing apparatus, hose reel jets and main jets to extinguish the fire. They cleared the property using a large ventilation fan.
