EBBSFLEET United have released a statement calling on its thousands of owners to provide a cash lifeline ahead of next season.

Entitled 'Friends of the Fleet', the article, which is posted on the MyFootballClub (MyFC) forum by the MyFC Web Team, comes in the wake of the Fleet's defeat to Stevenage Borough in the semi-final of the FA Trophy last Saturday.

Victory would have taken Ebbsfleet to Wembley for the second season running and a potential £250,000 payday.

However, without it, Ebbsfleet have called on the MyFC membership, who already pay an annual subscription of £35 to vote on decisions that affect the running of the club, to provide an additional monthly donation.
