Sprinter Adam Gemili won gold in the 4x100m at the European Team Championships on Saturday, continuing his blistering start to the athletics season.
The 19-year-old former Dartford Grammar School student ran alongside anchor James Dasaolu, Harry Aikines-Aryeetey and James Ellington - trained for the Olympics by Petts Wood coach John Powell.
Gemili looked to redeem himself in the relay event after suffering disappointing in the semi-finals of the London Olympics, when a mistimed handover saw Team GB crash out.
The four Great British athletes broke the championship record in Gateshead at the weekend, completing the race in a time of 38.89s - also the fastest time by a team in Europe this summer.
Gemili is set line-up alongside Dwain Chambers and Kim Collins in his first international competition of the season in the Czech Republic today (Thursday).
