Former Gravesham councillor Colin Dennis has died following a long battle with illness.

The Gainsborough Drive, Northfleet resident resigned his seat in Painters Ash ward on March 8 due to his failing health and died at the EllenorLions Hospice on Wednesday (20) aged 68.

Council leader Cllr John Burden said: “At this sad time our thoughts are with Colin’s family. Colin will be sorely missed by his colleagues and the community he served.”

The by-election for his seat has been set for May 2 to coincide with the Kent County Council elections.
