A FUN run in memory of teenager Ben Johnson who died of leukaemia will be held over the May Bank Holiday weekend.

The Gravesend Grammar School pupil died suddenly in November 2007 from undiagnosed leukaemia aged 17.

Comedian Joe Pasquale will open the third annual fun run as patron of the Ben Johnson Forget Me Not Foundation at 11am on Sunday May 2 at Gravesend Rugby Club.

Last year's event attracted over 450 entrants and 1,500 spectators and the charity organisers hope to repeat its success again this year.

The total figure raised for Leukaemia Research was in excess of £28,000.

A barbeque and refreshments will be during the event, as well as a raffle, balloon race, bric-a-brac stalls and rodeo rides.

Sponsor forms are available upon request from email address bens.day2010@googlemail.com or by calling Ben's father Neil on 07711 567286.
