One Direction and Elton John tribute acts played to crowds

Gravesend’s lower community square was packed out with local people celebrating Her Majesty The Queen’s 90th birthday on Friday.

Between 11.30am and 1.30pm, hundreds of school children joined around 100 VIP guests and residents who are also celebrating 90th birthdays this year.

Guests ate a picnic lunch while duo Payne and Pearce compered the day’s entertainment.

Elton John tribute act - Elton Magic started the celebrations before One Direction wannabes Only One Direction played to the Gravesend crowd.

Flag raising, three cheers for the Queen and a rendition of Happy Birthday were all part of the celebrations.
