Fans of rock and roll and blues will warmly welcome back Bluesfest 2014 this weekend for its second year.

Aynsley Lister, the “exciting guitarist since Eric Clapton” will be headlining the 11 hour event at The Red Lion pub, Crete Hall Road, Gravesend on Saturday, on a bill which includes eight other acts.

Alun Jones, a Bluesfest organiser, said: “Aynsley Lister, probably the most exciting guitarist since Eric Clapton, has been influenced by R and B from the 60s.

“He is pretty top end of the Blues record market.

“He has got a huge following - and is top of the Blues UK scene.”

Mr Jones added he believes this year’s Bluesfest will be “bigger and better” than last year’s debut.

“The Red Lion has been an established music venue for many years,” added Mr Jones.

“The crowd is not just from Gravesend but from all sorts of areas.”

Tickets are £15 in advance and £18 on the door.
