Gravesend boy, 13, killed in taxi collision with digger on A2

A 13-year-old Gravesend boy died after the taxi he was travelling in collided with a digger on the A2.

The boy was a passenger as the vehicle hit an orange Komatsu digger near Dover in the early hours of Friday, March 15.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency services called to the London-bound carriageway at around 12.45am.

The 47-year-old driver of the Skoda taxi and a 15-year-old boy were taken to William Harvery Hospital, in Ashford, with non-life threatening injuries.
