Gravesend cycle centre to celebrate its second birthday

A cycle centre will celebrate its second birthday with a charity fun day on May 25.
Cyclopark, Gravesend, is a registered charity and they are asking people to donate money on the day which will go towards increasing their number of specially adapted bikes which people with disabilities can cycle.
Laurence Tricker, CEO for Cyclopark said: “It’s great to be celebrating our second birthday, the park has grown in many ways since we opened in 2012. We are seeing more and more visitors to the park; we mirror the trend that we are seeing in Britain generally that more people are now cycling. At the park we offer a safe traffic free environment, which is great for anyone who wants to ride. BMXing is our most popular attraction, but ladies cycling is definitely another area of substantial growth. Our birthday celebration is a great opportunity to come along and experience what the park has to offer.
“We are asking for a little help and support at the fun day to raise money so we can increase our fleet of adapted bikes. This resource is invaluable and by increasing the fleet of adapted bikes we can offer more opportunities for riders with disabilities in the local community to cycle.”
Visitors to the park will be invited to take up the “Sponsored Circuit Challenge”, where riders set their own distance and for every lap completed either raise or donate a £1. The person that raises the most money on the day will be rewarded with a “Family Summer Holiday Park Pass”.
