Police are offering to mark bikes for free

Cyclists looking to protect their bikes from thieves are being invited to an event on Wednesday.

Officers from Kent Police’s community safety unit will be offering a security marking service at Halfords on the Imperial business and Retail Park, Thames Way, from 12.30-2.30pm this Wednesday.

Anti-tamper kits will also be available as well as crime prevention advice.

Marking your bicycle can deter thieves, as well increasing the chance of lost or stolen property being returned to you.
