Two people charged with drug offences in Gravesend

Police have charged two people with drug offences after they were arrested by officers from Gravesham’s community policing unit.
Police were on a routine patrol when they received a report of drug dealing in Waterton Avenue, Gravesend.
They attended the location and a man and woman were stopped inside the children’s play area at around 5pm on November 22.
While in attendance, officers found around 100 drug wraps made up of white and brown substances which were believed to be drugs, cash and a large kitchen knife.
Simphiwe Tibe, 25, of Romulus Road, Gravesend, was charged on November 23 with one count of possession with intent to supply heroin and one charge of possession with intent to supply crack cocaine.
Andrea Szomsziova, 20 also of Romulus Road, Gravesend, was charged on November 23 with one count of possession with intent to supply heroin, one charge of possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and one count of possession of a bladed article in a public place.
Ms Szomsziova was bailed after being charged and is due to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on December 21 2018.
Mr Tibe was also bailed after being charged, however he was arrested on November 24 and charged with one count of assault relating to a separate incident in Gravesend.
He was remanded to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on November 26.
