A businessman-cum-film producer is releasing a feature-length film set in Gravesend later this month.

Trevor Clarke, 51, left his high-powered job in Canary Wharf for the sake of his health and decided to use his severance pay to fund film projects.

COOLIO is about London gangsters who discover a time machine that plunges them into a world of time-travelling assassins and limitless possibilities, as the film blurb goes.

It stars boxing promoter Frank Maloney, film star Geoff Bell, Ello Ello actress Vicki Michelle and Trevor, himself, among others.

The film also features local people from Gravesend, including bands and musicians both acting and providing the soundtrack.

Trevor said: “The film is brilliant, a lot of fun was had on the way with some amazing characters. From staring at my wall in total shock following my visit to the doctor last year I have now changed my whole direction in life and it’s a brave new world.”

COOLIO premieres at the Barbican Theatre in London on November 21.
