Talented gymnasts from Gravesend flipped and cartwheeled their way to emerge victorious at the 2012 Kent Gymnastics Championships.

The girls from Meapa Gymnastics Club displayed their acrobatic skills across four disciplines - vault, uneven bars, balance beam and floor.

In a strong field of highly competitive gymnasts from across the county, the Meopa girls put in a strong performance and secure seven county champions: Bethan Kirby, Hollie Podger, Maddie Roberts, McKenzie Alexander-Reynolds, Rebecca Kalli, Eve Hudson and Lauren Campbell.

They also went home armed with seven silver and five bronze medals.

Coach Yuriy Zhovtyuk applauded their success saying: “What a brilliant day. I was delighted with the level of effort and hard work the girls put into achieving such a high standard of performance.”
