Gravesend Harvester staff threatened in attempted armed robbery

Staff at Harvester restaurant in Gravesend have said they were threatened by two men wearing balaclavas and holding a gun early this morning.

The two men had entered the back of the building in Rochester Road while staff were taking in the morning delivery.

One of the suspects confronted staff with an object described as a gun and ordered that a safe was opened.

However they left empty-handed and ran towards Lower Higham Road, then across Rochester Road towards Thong Lane.

The men are described as white, in their late teens and wearing dark clothes.
