Gravesend man Eddie Ives denies murdering Ben Mahoney in Dartford

Gravesend murder accused Eddie Ives has denied killing Ben Mahoney in a Dartford takeaway restaurant in court this morning.

Ives, 29, of no fixed address but from the Gravesend area, appeared before Maidstone Crown Court charged with Mr Mahoney’s murder on April 12 in The House on the Hill.

He has been remanded on custody to go before the same court on September 16.

Police were called to the restaurant at around 11.30pm and Mr Mahoney, of St Martin’s Road, Dartford, died from head injuries.

Ives also pleaded not guilty to manslaughter.
