A 14-year-old boy with diabetes is starring in a new film which shows how having the condition doesn’t prevent you doing things.

The video captures Adam Martin’s day-to-day routine to demonstrate what children living with type 1 diabetes have to go through to control it.

The Meopham School pupil has overcome his initial upset over his diagnosis.

He said: “I eat, breathe and sleep football. It was hard being diagnosed at six, as I didn’t understand type 1 diabetes and would get really upset when I had my injections. After living with it for so long, I’m used to all the injections and I’m in control of my type 1, instead of diabetes controlling me.”
