Estate agent Robinson, Michael & Jackson raised more than £10,000 for Macmillan

Gravesend estate agent Robinson, Michael & Jackson have made a donation of over £10,000 to cancer charity Macmillan Cancer Support.

The estate agent fielded a fundraising team to help raise cash for the charity with a marathon bike ride from their Gravesend offices in King Street all the way to Maidstone. The ride raised a whopping £10,599.93 for the charity, which says that by 2030 in Kent alone there will be 120,300 people living with, or beyond cancer.

Michael Utchanah is the owner of the estate agent. He said there were a number of reasons why his team felt it was crucial to help raise cash for the charity.

Mr Utchanah said: ““We can raise money to make a difference, so why shouldn’t we. Why Macmillan? Because we have been touched, like many, by the support that this fantastic charity have provided to our family, in their hour of need. Donations make up 98 per cent of Macmillan’s income and so we want to give back and help other families.”

A spokesman for Macmillan said: “As so much of our funding comes from people just like Robinson, Michael and Jackson we can say we are truly touched by the generosity of our fundraisers. The donations they give us make a real and lasting difference.”
