Supermarket chain Asda has donated £200 to Gravesend RNLI after store staff voted to support it.

Alan Carr, who is in the crew at Gravesend, coined a phrase from another popular supermarket advertising campaign to voice his gratitude.

He said: “Every little helps. The money can go on a few things at the station.

“It is certainly going to help - it does not matter if it is £10 or a thousand pounds - everything needs looking after.”
