Gravesend school celebrates fantastic results

Students were thrilled after receiving their A-Level results.

More than 76 per cent of the students at Mayfield Grammar School, Pelham Road, Gravesend, received A* to C grades, 46 pc secured A* to B grades and 17 pc were awarded A* to A grades.

Students Lydia Bailey and Alice Coates received three A* grades and Simran Bahia, Kerrie Walsh and Alice Williams secured two A* and one A grade each.

Headteacher Elaine Wilson said: “These excellent results are testament to the hard work and commitment of all our students together with the high quality teaching they receive at school.

“This is in line with the Outstanding Ofsted report (June 2013) which stated ‘The sixth form is outstanding. Teaching is exceptionally strong and, as a result, students make excellent progress’.

“I would like to congratulate our students and staff and wish our students every success in the future.”
