Sally Dean died from cancer in July

Teachers from Wrotham Road Primary School in Gravesend school are taking part in a charity walk in memory of their colleague, teaching assistant Sally Dean, who died of cancer in July at the EllenorLions Hospice on her 52nd birthday.

She passed away two days after marrying her soulmate Darren Edmunds at a service at the hospice in Coldharbour Road, Northfleet.

Headteacher Sarah Green said: “Sally was such an amazing person who was so full of boundless energy. She was very passionate about her job, supporting and caring for the children at school. She will be greatly missed by both pupils and staff.”

A group of 15 teachers are doing the Twilight Walk at Danson Park, Bexleyheath on Friday, September 20 to help raise funds for the hospice.

Sarah added: “We wanted to do our bit to raise vital funds for EllenorLions Hospices and chYps as our way of thanking them for caring for our dear colleague and friend. We hope others will join us at Twilight Walk to support this very important local charity.”
