Gravesend teenage girl sentenced for breach of ASBO

PUBLISHED: 09:45 06 August 2012

A teenage girl has been sentenced to an 18-month detention and training order after breaching her anti-social behaviour order.

The 15-year-old girl, from Gravesend, was given a two-year ASBO in April this year as well as a 24-month youth rehabilitation order following a series of harassment and public order offences.

She failed to comply with any of the conditions set by the court and was subsequently arrested on June 29.

The teenager pleaded guilty to the breach and was sentenced on Tuesday July 31.

Gravesham PCSO Sarah Watson said: “The girls’ victims have had to endure months of abuse and harassment. They have had to live with the fear of reprisals and intimidation month after month, often too scared to leave their homes because of her behaviour.”
