Gravesend teenager charged with burglary offences

A teenager is due to appear in court after being charged with offences including burglary.

The 17-year-old, of Gravesend, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested on May 18 following two burglaries in Leigh Avenue and Central Avenue earlier that day.

He was charged with two counts of burglary dwelling on May 29, and also charged with carrying an offensive weapon, going equipped for theft and failing to surrender bail.

He will appear at Chatham Youth Court on June 24.

Two other boys, a 15-year-old from Dartford and another 17-year-old from Gravesend, have been bailed pending further investigation until June 30.
