Gravesend will host talk on Britain's first female pilot

Britain's first female pilot will be the subject of a talk arranged by Gravesend & District Soroptimist Club.
The talk will be given by Martin Atkinson and will explore the life of Edith Maud Cook, discussing her adventures in the air and what she achieved in other aspects of Edwardian society.
It will be taking place at Christ Church Hall, Old Road East, Gravesend, on May 20 at 7pm.
Entry will cost £3, incluing refreshments, and proceeds will go to Gravesend Soroptimist charities.
