Seasons greetings from the Cllr Cubitt

The leader of Gravesham Borough Council John Cubitt has sent out his festive message to the people of Gravesend.

It reads:

Christmas is a time for giving and, for the third year, the council’s gift to everyone has been a fantastic festival of family fun.

This year’s Christmas Every Day has been bigger than ever. It’s offered a packed programme of events, with something for everybody. From the lights switch on and parade to the Santa Dash there have been smiles all round and the town seems to have been really busy, especially during the Fayre On The Square Christmas Market weekend.

We have also had a Christmas Tree Festival, attempted to break a World Record and plenty more too. The community have been involved every step of the way, helping to organise many of the events such as Christmas On The Hill which saw hundreds of families gather together to make arts and crafts, see Father Christmas and even have a go at Ice Skating.

My thanks go to all those who have joined with us at the council to help produce this vibrant and exciting programme.

We are fortunate that Gravesham has plenty to look forward to in the new year.

I wish all our residents a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
