The victim was robbed after being forced to stop her car near Meopham

Police officers investigating an alleged robbery in Gravesham on October 15 are appealing for information.

The victim - a woman - was driving a Ford Fiesta in Bull Road, Birling, before waiting to turn onto Ryarsh Road. Before she made the turn a white carry style van went past and she travelled behind it for a short distance in the direction of Vigo.

The van came to a stop in White Horse Road, just before the turning for Holly Hill, which heads towards Meopham.

Two men then got out of the van and walked towards the victim’s car at around 7pm. The driver of the van opened the victim’s door and grabbed her by the jaw. The second man opened the passenger door and emptied the contents of a bag and glove box. They left with a pink Ted Baker purse containing £80.
