Police want to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or the moments leading up to it

A 70-year-old man has been killed after the van he was driving in smashed into a wall in Hartley, near Longfield.

The crash occured at around 1.05pm yesterday, Thursday, on Ash Road.

It saw a white Peugeot Bipper van hit a wall at the junction with Parkfield.

The driver, a 70-year-old man from Longfield, was airlifted to a London hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Officers from the serious collison investigation unit are appealing for any witnesses who they have not yet spoken to, to get in touch.
