Health tips up for grabs for Gravesend residents on National Libraries Day

PUBLISHED: 10:56 29 January 2014 | UPDATED: 10:57 29 January 2014

Gravesend residents will be offered free health checks next week as part of National Libraries Day.

On February 8, staff from the Gr@nd Healthy Living Centre and Regency Pharmacy will be offering advice on six ways to wellbeing between 10am and 2.30pm at Gravesend Library, in Windmill Street.

Other activities will include book making, arts and crafts, and face painting.

Carl Webster Dowsing, from the Gr@nd, said: “The six ways to wellbeing are great simple steps that anyone can take to improve their quality of life.

“They can be anything from smiling at somebody on the way to work, phoning a friend you haven’t heard from in ages or reading about something new.

“Come down to the library to find out more about them and make your own pledge.”
