VOLUNTEERS are needed to join a charity that works with the deaf and hard of hearing.

Hi Kent, which covers the whole of the county, runs several volunteer staffed hearing aid after care and advice clinics in Gravesend and Northfleet, and is looking for more volunteers to run them.

At there advice clinics elderly people get help and advice on their hearing aids, and help in changing the small batteries which are supplied free of charge.

After training volunteers only need to contribute two or three hours each month, and expenses are paid.

Call 01622 691151 and ask for the Volunteer Co-ordinator, or email enquiries@hikent.org.uk.
