Honing in on the huge interest in the ill-fated king’s skeleton being found buried in a Leicester car park, a theatre group have pulled off a publicity stunt for their own version of the Shakespeare play.

Rob Forknall, director of Kent-based group The Changeling, donned a royal costume and cosied up on the gravel of a Gravesend car park.

He will be among other fans of the Bard performing Richard II in the open air this July, set in a gothic world or murder plots.

Tickets for the performance at Nurstead Court, in Meopham, on July 30 and August 8 are available now from the Woodville.
