The phone scam poses as the bank

Kent County Council Trading Standards are warning Kent businesses of another popular phone scam.

The warning comes after a Suffolk business was conned out of more than one million pounds by scam callers posing as the bank.

The callers claimed there was an irregularity in the business’ account and suggested they transferred the money to a separate account.

Shortly after the money vanished from the account.

Anyone who believes they have received a scam phone call should contact KCC Trading Standards or the Citizens Advice consumer service on 03454 04 05 06.
